Important:  please make sure you are signed up for Remind messages by texting @mexpress to the number 81010.  I will be communicating via Remind throughout the day.

All chaperones and any other parents attending should plan to meet the student buses as early as 9:30 a.m. before we enter the park at 10:00 a.m.  Please be patient as it can take longer for buses to arrive at the park.

Please park in the general parking area on Beach and La Palma. To get to the parking lot, drive into the Knotts entrance on Beach and stay to your left.  Head into the tunnel, and follow the signs. Parking is $25 cash or card.  Mrs. Bird can reimburse you for parking if you don't already have a parking pass.

The buses will park at the far end of the lot.  You will see other buses, but please do NOT
try to gather there. Instead, please meet by the fence/grass area by the Knott’s welcome sign.
Ms. Brightbill (director of Music in Motion Honor Choir) will be there early to meet you.

Once the students arrive, I will give you a folder with yours/their tickets/season ticket pictures to scan and any medical items your students may require throughout the day.  Then your students will be released to you to take into the park.

Along with student tickets/passes, your folder will also include:
  • Student info/parent contact info
  • Any medical info you need to be aware of
  • The names of parents who can check out students from you after our performance

Schedule for the day:

STUDENTS MUST STAY WITH YOU UNTIL AFTER WE PERFORM!  Friends and family may also join your group but they must stay with you until we sing.

10:00 a.m. | Knott's Berry Farm opens

11:00 a.m. | Groups meet
at the Wagon Stage

11:30 a.m. | Performance time with Music in Motion Honor Choir

12:00 p.m. | Students are released to chaperones.  Students can be checked out to someone listed on their transportation release.  Parents can check out medical items if they didn't bring any of their own for their child.  Students who are not checked out remain with you.

7:00 p.m. |
Students returning by bus should be brought to front of the park at the exit gate and meet Mrs. Bird.  Student folders and any medical items should be returned to Mrs. Bird.

Things to keep in mind throughout the day...

  • Students have been asked to bring at least $30 with them.  If you notice a students doesn't have enough money to eat throughout the day, I have funds to help.
  • When in doubt, please reach out!  I will be around to help with whatever comes up.
  • If you can bring sunscreen and reapply it on students throughout the day, that would be great.
