Allegro Audition Dates
Allegro auditions will be held after school from 1:00-1:30 p.m. Parents can pick students up at 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot or come inside and waiti. Daycare students can return to daycare after their audition.
Grace Miller: Tuesday, September 3rd
Shull: Wednesday, September 4th
LVH: Thursday, September 5th
Oak Mesa: Monday, September 9th (in MPR) (a week later than the other schools due to Labor Day holiday)
Students who are selected to join Allegro will automatically receive an invitation to join Music Express.

- All interested 5th graders are welcome to audition. Students who are invited to join Allegro must also participate in school chorus, school band or honor band.
- Students from Grace Miller, Shull and LVH who are absent from school on their audition day may audition the following week at the same day and time.
- Students from Oak Mesa who are absent from school on their audition day may audition with Mrs. Bird during recess on Monday, September 23rd.

Allegro Audition Requirements
There are two parts to the audition: singing the major scale and "Happy Birthday".
Singing:
Students will also be asked to sing notes back to Mrs. Bird (echoing)
Students should be prepared to sing by themselves:

- Major Scale (see video below). Students should sing up AND down the scale
Practice from the beginning to 22 seconds
